A conference was held at this Office on September

of British Companies in China at which the Board of

of the above Conference it was arranged that a similer

schame should be carried out by the Government of

Hongkong.

The Judge of His Majesty's Supreme Court was accordingly informed and instructed to furnish his

observations on the necessary legislation to put the

Acheme into effect.
